From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. The Times is a daily national newspaper published in the United Kingdom since 1785, when it was known as The Daily Universal Register. The Times and its sister paper The Sunday Times are published by Times Newspapers Limited, a subsidiary of News International. News International is entirely owned by the News Corporation group, headed by Rupert Murdoch. Though traditionally a moderately centre-right newspaper and a supporter of the Conservatives, it supported the Labour Party in the 2001 and 2005 general elections. In 2005, according to MORI, the voting intentions of its readership were 40% for the Conservative Party, 29% for the Liberal Democrats, 26% for Labour. The Times is the original "Times" newspaper, lending its name to many other papers around the world, such as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Times of India, The Straits Times, The Times of Malta and The Irish Times. For distinguishing purposes it is therefore sometimes referred to, particularly in North America, as the 'London Times' or 'The Times of London'. The paper is the originator of the ubiquitous Times Roman typeface, originally developed by Stanley Morison of The Times in collaboration with the Monotype Corporation for its legibility in low-tech printing. The Times was printed in broadsheet format for 219 years, but switched to tabloid size in 2004 partly in an attempt to appeal to younger readers and partly to appeal to commuters using public transport. An American edition has been published since 6 June 2006. From Wikipedia under the

Q. For example, the Yankees played all the AL East teams 18 teams last year, and the NL Central teams 3 times, but they played the Tigers 6 times, the Mets 6 times, the Mariners 9 times, and so on. Is there anywhere I could download a spreadsheet telling how many times each team played the others? Asked by Vince Vatter - Sat Apr 11 12:40:33 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. It varies from league to league. The NL has two more teams than the AL so they can't all be the same. The NL Central has 6 teams while the other two NL divisions have 5 teams. Then you add in 15 inter-league games. With some team playing their natural regional rival 6 times. It is very complicated In the end every team plays 162 games 81 at home and 81 on the road. Answered by minor league fan - Sat Apr 11 13:28:16 2009 How many times do you have to repeat an action before you learn it? Q. I'm talking about motor skill acquisition. How many times do you have to repeat an action before you've done it enough? I'm trying to make my guitar practice efficient and I don't want to practice things more than necessary, but I also don't want to NOT do it enough. Do you know what the absolute minimum number of repetitions necessary before it is learned? Do you think if you just went through the action one time and you did it very carefully with attention, that that would be enough? I'm not talking about rehearsing something that you've already learned, I'm talking about learning something initially and reinforcing perfect technique. When I practice something that I already know, I don't worry about how many times I did it. I just… [cont.] Asked by conundrum - Thu Nov 23 19:32:35 2006 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. This depends on the individual. Some people have really good kinesthetic learning, and can pick up physical skills with a small amount of practice. For other people it takes longer. The only way you're going to know when you've practiced enough is by observing yourself; counting reps isn't going to do it for you. I suspect that small doses repeated day after day is going to get you better quicker than really long sessions. On the other hand, if you have the time to dedicate to lots of practice every day, go for it! Since you enjoy playing the guitar there is absolutely no reason to limit yourself to some arbitrary number amount of time per day.
