A. Rockport shoes are great. Not always the most glam but hella comfy and most supportive shoes you'll find. DMX soles like you find in Adidas. The brand originated from Reebok.

How does an aerobics instructor stay fit?
Q. I have been teaching aerobics part time for a little while now. I enjoy teaching, however, it's been rough on my body. I am already skinny and it seems as if I have been loosing not only more fat but muscle too! I have lost a good 8lbs and it's not for the better. I would like to bulk up, show a good amount of definition, and be able to maintain a steady weight while teaching. Any suggestions?

How much weight can I lose doing water aerobics for 16 weeks?
Q. I'm doing water aerobics for 16 weeks 2 times a week. I'm 5'4 or 5'5 133 from the last time I weighed myself (2 days ago) I have fat in the belly area. I know you can not lose weight in a targeted area, so if I can not lose weight how much will I tone or how many inches will I lose.

You can opt for a good training program which can strictly plan your proceedings to get the target. try the following famous program:

Are aerobics certification classes hard? And is it hard to get hired by gyms as an aerobics instructor?
Q. I am considering getting certified in aerobics instruction and don't know what to expect. Once I get certified how hard is it to get hired, and what is the pay like? Do I have to do more work to get licensed after becoming certified, or is it all included in the certification class? Any other information would be appreciated too :) i have taken an aerobics class in high school and was color guard captain.

A. i think they want you to have a general knowledge of the human muscle anatomy, so you know what muscles you are working... and it's also wise to have a good idea of how the cardiovascular system works. you are after all, going to be teaching people how to get their heart rate up, and tone their muscles. you need to know how to work effectively and efficiently with your class without straining them. i think it would be ideal if you had aerobic or even dance training in the past. anything that makes you familiar with kinesthetics is a bonus point for you.

How do I become an aerobics instructor or similar?
Q. I've always fancied myself as an aerobics instructor, and I'd like to give lessons in hooping as I have my own hoop and if I practise a bit, I'd be quite good. I led a warm-up to music and a cool down last week at a voluntary project, and everyone though I was good! I wanted to know if you need qualifications to legally be allowed to give classes in the UK?
Asked by Laura I - Fri Feb 27 13:09:14 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Being an aerobics instructor does not require a license, but health clubs, the YMCA and gyms usually require certification. Besides, you ll want to know that you have a complete understanding of your work so you can teach with confidence. Where you live determines the preference of local organizations for particular certification: check with local gyms and health clubs to see what they require of their instructors before deciding what sort of program of study you will enter.

What are the advantages of doing aerobics?
Q. I have heard that you can suddenly get fat if you stop doing aerobics suddenly. Is this true?
Asked by Amber - Mon Jan 12 08:29:00 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you stop doing any energetic activity and continue consuming the same food as before, your body will react. Your body had come to expect that it would need all those calories to excecize (aerobics) so it will store them (as fat) in anticipation of need. If you gotta stop aerobics and don't want to get fat, find some other way to keep up your activity level, dancing, walking instead of driving, running up and down the stairs in your house, indian club swinging, table tennis, or something, and eat smaller and more frequent meals during the day. I lost 15 pounds in three months by eating less food and taking a job that had me standing and walking all day, rather than sitting at a desk, even though I had quit going to the gym. The… [cont.]

What is required to wear to water aerobics?
Q. I will be starting water aerobics in a few weeks and am wondering what I should wear to class. #1: Would there be a problem to wear a two piece outfit with a top that is similar to the top of a bathing suit and the bottom being swim shorts. Will I be able to move appropriately in the water with this swim outfit? #2: Do I need to wear water shoes? Will this lessen any impact on my joints? Thank you for your help.

A. i have seen people wear two pieces to water aerobics...just keep in mind that you will probably be doing lot of bouncing and jumping so you will want to make sure that the top is supportive enough and also well fitted so that "the girls" don't pop out. I doubt that your class will require water shoes however I believe that most people like to wear them for traction and/or so the bottom of their feet don't get all roughed up.

A. The bio-chemical process to burn fat during running doesnt take affect until @ 25 minutes after starting. The process only takes 5 minutes with walking. So if you run or jog for a half hour you'll have about 5 mins of fat burning. I f you walk, you'll have around 25. Take your pick.

A. Increase soy protein a week or so before you start our aerobics class. Soy proteins are better for women than say whey(it's better for men). :) If you're going to do aerobics you won't really lose weight as you'll be exchanging fat for lean muscle. Your appearance will be sleeker, and slightly more muscular. Most women won't show muscle unless they explicitly lift weights. Good Luck.

Q. When I swim laps for thirty minutes I feel like my heart is going to pound out of my chest. However, when I do any type of aerobics I get really sweaty and tired, but my heart rate is not nearly as fast as it is when I swim. Why is this?
Asked by flumen333 - Sun Aug 24 17:31:56 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Different types of exercise will affect you differently. I can bike for 20 miles and have a max heart rate of 110, but if I ran for a mile it'd be way higher. It depends on the type of exercise you're used to. When you swim more, your max heart rate will also lower.

A. Let me put it simply you are not out to lose weight you really are planning to decrease your overall fat composition and increase your muscle mass. Well to begin to answer what type of weight are you interested in losing. I will assume that you are like most Americans and are interested in increasing lean muscle mass. So therefore you wish to decrease your body fat percentage and hopefully increase your metabolism. Weights properly used combined with a balanced diet are the fastest way to do both. By lifting weights, getting proper rest, and eating a nutritious diet i have found to be a far more effective approach than to spend hours doing aerobics. Lets face it during a typical 30 minute aerobics session you burn 400 calories eating a… [cont.]
